![]() ![]() You're essentially doing the same thing forever until you get to "the boss" and either win or die and do it all over again. ![]() ![]() Honestly, I'd compare Darkest Dungeon gameplay to games like FTL or Mordheim. at least until I misjudged a situation or made a horrible mistake that got a high level character killed or put my A-Team out for a few runs. Once that happened, "the grind" became very minimal. I couldn't get a handle on the game and so doing higher level stuff usually got someone killed.Īfter those ~20 hours I finally understood how I should be playing the game and what choices I should make. For me, the first ~20 hours was basically doing the same lower level areas since they provided a lower risk while still netting XP for my Heroes. Like Francis stated If you play well you don't really need to grind. If you answered "Yes" to any of those, then there shouldn't be an issue. Developers just stretch the game.ĭo you enjoy grinding in XCOM games? Do you enjoy "farming" lower level encounters to farm XP for characters lowering the risk of death? Do you like Rogue-lites?
